In January, a SHEQ Stand Down was held on our Eurostar Project at the Temple Mills Depot in London. Ben Cantrell (Project Manager) and Warren Dakin (Operations Manager South) presented the session to our workforce and suppliers, with support from Sean Dunphy (Senior SHEQ Advisor) and Mike Torrington (Head of SHEQ).
The day consisted of several key items ranging from a briefing by Clive Wickes (Eurostar’s Infrastructure Services Manager), an overview of project and SHEQ statistics, key learning events briefings and ‘Worksite Workshops’ involving the team working on a new point of work risk assessment system being introduced on the project.
This session was undertaken in line with our Journey to Zero Initiative; whereby we aim to carryout Stand Downs across all our projects, sites and offices each year (at varying frequencies).
The Stand Down received high praise from the client, especially with regards to its open and collaborative approach.
